Creating Your Private Label Brand

First thing is first guys. We want to get the ball rolling. We want to get that feeling of ownership. The way we do that is by getting our brand identity going. A brand represents what we stand for as a business, organisation or as an individual. The reason behind designing a logo for selling on Amazon is so that your brand is recognised on Amazons platform. It will be placed on all your product packaging. It builds credibility down the line. It lets the world know who we are and what we stand for. So let’s get straight into it of how to create a logo for private label.

After you follow these steps you will have a logo that can be sent to your suppliers to placed on all packaging. That is what makes selling private label and selling someone else’s brand.

1. Business Name

Choose a business name that is broad. Something that will not limit you to only 1 niche. A name that can have many different product categories under it. An example would be Walmart. Walmart is such a generic name that does not denote anything except that which they have built up over time. People, the buyers or customers have over a period of time identified with whWalmartart sells. Similarly, with you select a name where you can build your empire upon.

2. Colours

Colours evoke certain emotions. Select colours that when people see your logo it evokes certain emotions about your brand. Have a look at the image below and see which type of emotion you would like people to have towards your brand.

3. Design Your Logo

So now we at the point where you going to start working on your logo. You can google free tools to make your own logo but I suggest using Fiverr or Upwork to get some initial designs going. Now, remember creating a brand can be an expensive exercise. I don’t want you guys to come up with the best logo in the world right now. I want you to get the ball rolling. The idea is to start taking action as quickly as possible. So use Fiverr as your initial starting point where you pay as little as $5 to get some decent designs. It might even stick as your final logo down the line as you can always make adjustments.

Fiverr will show you hundreds of designers when you search for “design a logo”. You will be able to contact the designer and ask if they can help design the “look” you want before even paying for the gig.

Now You Have A Brand!

Take your logo and send it to your suppliers. They will make sure that packaging is printed with your logo and placed on each and every product.

You have just completed the first step in starting your very own private label business!!!

I hope this helped you guys in explaining just how easy it is to get started.
